Around the house, I am always captivated by the simple motions of my wife- wrapping a shawl around her shoulders, fastening an earring, tucking hair behind her ear. I began this painting with an artist friend today, out in Riverhead, with a model that is a former professional ballet dancer. I’m emulating that quiet, everyday motion of my wife.
Whenas in silks my Julia goes,
Then, then methinks, how sweetly flows,
The liquefaction of her clothes.
– Robert Herrick
Kevin; You are an inspiration and a living blessing to others for what you are leaving behind for posterity. I’ve lived 75 years so far, blessed and maybe cursed at the same time. The struggles of life leave us lurching in the balance, unsure for the moment but reassured for the future. I have never seen nor read such beauty out of the heart and mind and spirit of a young man like yourself. I am extremely touched by Gods endowment on you. Hold firm to the course you are on. Continue to bless, as you are being so graciously blessed! I love you.
Hugs,
Carl Färdig
Carl, man, I can’t thank you enough for this comment. Really, I can’t describe how timely your words were- my head was kind of spinning, tonight, and your words really moved me. Thank you so much. Carl, would you ever want to come to my studio, to pose for a painting? I’d love to have you, your hands holding a wood working tool, maybe a wood plane… I really would love to do it. Let me know.
Kevin , I am awestruck by your offer. That would be an honor to sit for the man who’s work will go down in history. Kathy was the first person that came to mind to share your message with. And then……..you realize, your alone. Bless you and your hands. And bless your heart dear Kevin.
My home phone is 724-4178. Of course 631 is the area code for Suffolk County. My email is Leif7@Aol.Com.
Hugs Kevin.

Carl, really looking forward to meeting up! I’m excited, talk to you soon.
I await your gracious offer.
