This painting is simply my outlook, at the moment. That’s all, nothing more to say.

Kevin. It is you. But not the eyes. Your eyes ate bright, inquisitive, full of fun and life and music and love. These eyes are empty, scared, have given up. In the words of an arty broad.DO OVER!! XO K
But, I didn’t paint the eyes yet-just the broad, wide strokes. Shoot, I meant for the painting to convey a quiet type of hope, which is how I feel.
Needs a beret – Oddgums Nersthead
Maybe it’s how YOU feel, but it’s not how you look, really, and you should work on it more with M’s input, and maybe Liam’s too! The area just under the eyes in the detail has some good painterly touches, though. I would guess that hope is extremely difficult to paint. You’re right to go back to Murphy’s face, as a touchstone of your technique and talent. I’m wondering if the mouth is quite right?
But you’re the painter — keep painting!
